As our Tourism Assistant at the Tamar Visitor Centre (Exeter), you will play a vital role in ensuring that every visitor feels welcomed and engaged. This part‑time position requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about Tasmania's culture and natural beauty. You'll be responsible for managing front desk operations, coordinating promotional opportunities, and overseeing bookings and retail sales. In this exciting role, you will also supervise and train volunteers, ensuring they deliver high‑quality customer service and information about the region and local businesses. Your contributions will help maintain the Centre's displays and support marketing initiatives, making the Tamar Visitor Centre a hub of activity and information Who We're Looking For We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who embody our values and can help us achieve our goals. If you have a passion for tourism and customer service, and you're ready to make a difference in our community, we want to hear from you Knowledge of local and Tasmanian history to engage and inform visitors. Proven customer service skills with the ability to address diverse needs and resolve conflicts. Strong organisational and time‑management abilities to juggle various tasks effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to share information clearly and effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Current Tasmanian Driver's Licence (C Class) and Working with Vulnerable People Card. Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR and Fire Warden training certifications. Preferred workdays: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.
