About Homes NSW Homes NSW brings together housing and homelessness services under one roof to deliver more social and affordable housing, end the cycle of homelessness, and provide quality public housing to over 262,000 tenants. About the Role As a Community Engagement Advisor you will play an integral role in the Public Affairs and Engagement team to facilitate engagement activities. You will develop communication and engagement plans, manage sensitive stakeholders, and support project teams to deliver new social and affordable housing. The role works closely with a broad range of multidisciplinary internal and external stakeholders, including integrated project teams, to achieve positive outcomes that put people at the heart of planning new projects and support the achievement of organisational objectives. Key Responsibilities Provide advice and support to the Senior Community Engagement Officer Prepare a range of engaging and high‑quality project communications materials Proactively identify stakeholder‑related issues and risks and work with relevant teams to develop and implement mitigations Undertake research to understand community sentiment and local area analysis Monitor and map the stakeholder environment Build and maintain collaborative and productive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders Preferred Experience We are seeking candidates who have knowledge and experience supporting project delivery – particularly in the context of public participation and community engagement. Demonstrated understanding of NSW planning pathway frameworks and IAP2 / Engagement Institute certification will be highly regarded.
