Family Support Coordinator – Cranbrook State School Part-time (0.5 FTE), 36.25 hours per fortnight, temporary position. About Our School Cranbrook State School, established in 1981, has a proud history of successes across many areas of school life. Our motto, "Honest endeavour", reflects the caring and supportive environment we provide for students and families. Why this Role? As the Family Support Coordinator, you will help children and families successfully transition into school from early childhood services. You will facilitate access to learning or engagement supports, promote positive patterns of attendance, behaviour and learning, and link families to external government and non‑government supports. Responsibilities Implement structured, long‑term collaboration with a wide range of external partners to drive positive outcomes for families and children, improving student attendance, behaviour and engagement. Work with classroom teachers, teacher aides and specialist support staff to understand the child’s needs and connect families with services such as health, therapeutic and developmental interventions. Build and sustain positive relationships and effective partnerships with students, parents, school staff, government agencies and community services, providing expert input into decision‑making processes. Use knowledge of vulnerable children and families to facilitate engagement in learning and improved learning outcomes. Mandatory Requirements Current Working with Children Check clearance (Blue Card) issued by Blue Card Services. Current driver’s licence. Availability to work some after‑hours.
