Base pay range A$200,000.00/yr - A$250,000.00/yr Hyperparameter‑Tuned AI/ML & Data Recruitment Expert Principal AI Engineer Join one of Australia’s most exciting applied AI start‑ups, a team of proven founders who’ve built and exited a successful product before, now driving a new wave of enterprise‑scale AI innovation. They are looking for a strong engineer, a genuine problem solver who has operated in a start‑up environment before and understands the challenges of working in a product launch. You’ll be part of a tight‑knit engineering team, building and scaling real agentic systems used by enterprise clients. This is a build‑fast, ship‑faster environment, where your work lands directly in production for a growing SaaS customer base. You’ll work directly with founders who live and breathe customer success, and who back innovation with real execution. What you’ll do Architect and optimise large‑scale, cloud‑native AI systems Lead development of multi‑agent frameworks and RAG‑based solutions Build reliable, scalable data and model pipelines for production Collaborate with leadership to solve customer challenges fast and ship impactful updates What we’re looking for Full‑stack engineering experience Strong experience with cloud (GCP) and containerisation (Kubernetes) Hands‑on experience in RAG architecture and agentic frameworks A builder mindset you thrive in start‑ups and move quickly from idea to production Ideally you will have put these systems into production, interviews are happening immediately, with a view to start ASAP.
