We’re hiring our first-ever Academic Operations Manager . Someone who is a builder, organiser, and problem-solver who thrives on clarity, quality and execution. This role sits at the heart of Contour’s academic engine. You’ll make sure every resource and academic initiative lands on time, at quality, and at scale - not just to keep things running, but so we can serve students better than ever before. You’ll design the systems that make our academic ecosystem more scalable, robust, and purposeful - so every student, in every state, experiences the same level of care, consistency, and excellence. You’ll lead a small but growing team of Academic Coordinators and Resource Developers, building the rhythm and structure that help them thrive. It’s a role for someone who loves creating structures, leads with purpose, and turns ideas into seamless execution. You won’t just build resources - you’ll build the systems and teams behind them. Contour TestPrep: Reshaping test preparation, starting with the selective entry exam, through rigorous tutoring, mock exams, and data-driven feedback to give students a decisive advantage. What You’ll Do Academic Delivery & Resource Operations : Oversee the end to end planning, coordination, and rollout of academic material to ensure students and tutors always have timely, high-quality resources available. Enforce and drive delivery timelines and documentation standards across the academic team. Systems Design & Continuous Improvement : Build and continuously refine academic systems and documentation that improve efficiency, visibility, and quality across teams. Project Coordination & Cross-Functional Execution : Lead the rollout of major academic initiatives and programs (diagnostic tests, workshops on holidays in Universities, or new subject launches), ensuring communication, deadlines, and delivery all stay on track. People, Feedback & Team Uplift : Lead and develop Academic Coordinators and Resource Developers, building capability through structured coaching, clear processes, and structured feedback loops. National Expansion & Scaling : Drive academic operations for Contour’s interstate growth, adapting systems and resources for new state curricula and onboarding new academic contributors. Quality Assurance & Data-Driven Improvement : Adapt academic systems and resources for new states and curricula as Contour expands nationally, ensuring alignment of standards and delivery consistency across all locations. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Coordinate with Operations, Marketing, and Leadership teams to ensure smooth communication, accurate rollouts, and cohesive student experiences across all academic touchpoints What You Will Bring You’re a quality focused people-first leader and analytical thinker who’s as driven by impact as you are by execution. Operationally Skilled: You bring hands-on experience in operations, curriculum coordination, or resource development - balancing big-picture goals with day-to-day execution. A System Builder: You excel at building frameworks, documentation, and feedback loops that keep complex operations running smoothly. AI- and Tech-Fluent: You’re comfortable using digital tools and AI to enhance collaboration, quality assurance, and delivery. A Trusted Operator: You balance pace with precision, spot bottlenecks early, and own outcomes from start to finish. Culturally Aligned: You share Contour’s growth mindset, student-first philosophy, and belief that education can - and should - be better. Bonus: You’re familiar with Australian curricula (VCE, QCE, SACE, WACE, and eventually HSC) and available during peak academic periods.
