Atholl Management pty ltd – Mount Waverley VIC Siam Village Thai Restaurant located in Mount Waverley is looking to employ a full time qualified and experienced Head Cook to assist the Chefs in their busy kitchen. Salary $76,550 Siam Village is a busy restaurant serving delicious and traditional Thai cuisine dishes and we need a qualified and experienced Head Cook to join our energetic team. We are looking for a qualified and experienced Head Cook to prepare delicious meals according to our menu. You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery. An excellent Head Cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. You must be precise in moving around the kitchen and working well with our Chefs. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques are also important. Responsibilities Cook dishes from our menu Food preparation and cooking, also ensuring good presentation by dressing dishes before they are served Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.) Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment and follow food safety requirements Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen Ensure all food and other items are stored properly Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages Requirements Australian recognised trade qualification in cookery (Certificate 3 and 4) At least 2 years experience as a cook in an Asian restaurant Knowledge of Thai cuisine and ability to cook from our menu is required. Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.) Ability to follow all sanitation procedures Ability to work in a team and a good team player Energetic ‘can do’ attitude supported by strong interpersonal skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
