Senior Video Technician / Systems Engineer TDC is Australia’s leading video technology and production company. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Video Technician / Systems Engineer to join our Sydney team. The Role You will lead the design, engineering, and delivery of advanced video systems, including large-format projection, LED, media servers, camera systems, and show control. You will be trusted to make technical decisions, set benchmarks, and raise the bar for delivery quality across the business. Responsibilities Own the technical design and delivery of complex video systems from concept through to show completion. Engineer reliable, scalable solutions across LED, projection, media servers, and control platforms. Produce and review schematics, signal flows, drawings, and system documentation. Lead onsite technical teams and specialist freelancers with clarity and confidence. Act as a senior technical authority during prep, onsite delivery, and problem resolution. Drive continuous improvement in systems, workflows, and technical standards. Mentor video technicians and develop capability across the technical team. Contribute to R&D, new technology evaluation, and future capability planning. Qualifications Significant experience as a senior video engineer or technical lead in live events, theatre, or broadcast. Deep, hands‑on expertise in at least one core discipline such as LED systems, large‑scale projection, media servers, or camera workflows. A proven track record delivering technically complex shows under pressure. Strong systems thinking, documentation discipline, and attention to detail. Confidence influencing teams, peers, and clients on technical decisions. A mindset focused on quality, consistency, and continual improvement.
