The Teacher-Librarian provides educationin accordance with the appropriate syllabus and the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. TheTeacher-Librarian will guide students on how to become information literate citizens and empowerthem to be enthusiastic and strategic readers, critical thinkers, skilful researchers and ethical usersof information. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Commitment to Catholic education, a clear understanding of the vision and mission of CatholicSchools and a willingness to support faith formation of students. Strong knowledge of curriculum including appropriate teaching qualifications (TeacherLibrarianship/Education) and accreditation. Understanding of and commitment to the mission and purpose of an all-girl Catholic Collegeembracing the Good Samaritan and Benedictine tradition. Demonstrated outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, critical analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively and respectfully in a team environment A commitment to collaborative teaching practices with a high standard of competency and proficiency as a classroom teacher. An understanding of and commitment to supporting the educational needs of young women. Demonstrated library management skills.
