General Sales Manager

Callaghan Motors is seeking a talented and driven General Sales Manager to lead our Mitsubishi and MG Brands at our Warrnambool Multi Franchise Dealership. As the General Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales, managing a team of sales professionals, and ensuring exceptional customer service and target achievement. This is a full-time role based at our Warrnambool Dealership. What you’ll be doing Developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets. Training, and managing a high‑performing sales team. Monitoring and analysing sales performance data to identify opportunities for improvement. Fostering a positive and customer‑centric sales culture. Liaising with the marketing team to develop and execute effective promotional campaigns. Providing excellent customer service and support to clients throughout the sales process. What we’re looking for Minimum 3 years of experience in a retail sales management role or high achieving results in a commission/performance based environment. Previous industry experience while encouraged is not necessary. Proven track record of leading and motivating a sales team to achieve targets and goals, or proven individual sales and target achievement. Strong understanding of the automotive industry, including product knowledge and market trends. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Proficiency in using sales management tools and data analysis to drive decision‑making. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
