We don’t just build apps; we design reliable APIs at scale, deliver seamless experiences, and push the boundaries of what’s possible. Responsibilities Drive the technical direction of projects, focusing on system architecture, design, implementation of best practices and reusable patterns. Build scalable solutions using a wide tech stack and work closely with cross‑functional teams. Lead development and deployment of high‑quality software solutions, ensuring robust test coverage and reliability. Analyse business objectives and translate them into clear functional and non‑functional requirements. Provide accurate effort estimates for new features while considering scalability and maintainability. Mentor and support team members, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and best practices with a strong focus on test automation and quality. Qualifications Strong expertise in .NET or Java (essential), with JavaScript or TypeScript highly regarded. Experience building distributed systems, modelling complex domains, and designing scalable platforms. Experience with robust test coverage, TDD/BDD, and CI/CD pipelines. Hands‑on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation/CDK/Terraform. Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for building robust systems. Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a fast‑paced team. Technical Skills Back‑End Engineering: C#, .NET Core, Java; microservices, containerised workloads, distributed systems. Front‑End & Scripting: JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, Playwright. API Engineering: high‑performance SOAP/REST APIs, integration patterns. Cloud: AWS migrations and deployments; EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation/CDK/Terraform. CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Artifactory, automated pipeline design. DevOps & Observability: Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, PagerDuty. Testing: TDD, BDD. Security: defence‑in‑depth, identity, encryption, public‑cloud controls. Databases: Postgres, Oracle, NoSQL (MongoDB), data warehousing.
