Controls Engineer, APAC Controls Deployment & Service AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. As a member of the Data Center Capacity Delivery Asia‑Pacific Controls Deployment and Service (DCCD APAC CDS) team, you will help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. You’ll collaborate with a diverse group of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles across AWS. In this role you will: Deploy and service building automation systems such as Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) to ensure the health of data centers. Oversee deployment of new BMS or EPMS for new data center builds, upgrade projects for existing or colocated data centers, or provide local servicing expertise to the fleet. Partner effectively with Construction, Commissioning, Critical Projects, Data Center Operations, Procurement, Program Management, Design, and Engineering teams, and maintain strong relationships with vendors. Manage vendors, keep projects on time, and minimize defects at the Power and Facilities Hand-Off (PFHO). Deliver critical projects to upgrade data center automation and resolve issues within predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Respond to operational events (LOV, LOR, LSE, CSE) and improve efficiency of data centers or operations procedures. Basic Qualifications Experience in a data center or other critical environment. Experience in data center engineering or operations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of construction or project management experience. Electrical or mechanical Journeyman License. Operating engineering license such as DC II, DC III, or equivalent.
