Overview 5 Star Auto Garage and Mobile is a growing progressive business providing workshop diagnostics and repair, as well as mobile mechanic services. We are seeking a qualified and experienced motor mechanic for a full-time position in our workshop located in Melton. Benefits Generous employment package. Safe and clean workshop. Wide range of vehicle makes and models. Full-time position. Salary : $74,000-$78,000 plus super. Task & responsibilities Maintain, test, and repair petrol engines and the mechanical parts of lightweight motor vehicles (transmissions, suspension, steering, brakes). Diagnose faults in engines and parts. Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components, and check parts. Repair and replace worn and defective parts and reassemble mechanical components, referring to service manuals as needed. Perform scheduled maintenance services to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations. Reassemble engines and parts after repairs. Test and adjust mechanical parts after repairs for proper performance, diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers. Inspect vehicles and issue road-worthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve road-worthiness. Qualification & experience Great customer service. Willingness to go the extra mile. Motivation to succeed. Driver's licence. Current mechanic qualifications with a minimum of Cert IV. Minimum one year of work experience as a Motor Mechanic. #J-18808-Ljbffr
