Overview We currently have a vacancy for a full-time Catering (Kitchen) Assistant (Back-of-House) within our Perth Operations team. This is a Back‑of‑House (BOH) catering role working directly with the Chef in supporting our catering operations. Key Responsibilities Assisting the Chef with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and sorting ingredients. Performing general kitchen hand duties, including cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and workspaces. Cleaning and maintaining all designated kitchen areas, appliances, utensils, and tools, including canopy and range hoods, fridges, grill, and deep‑fry bays. Cleaning, washing, and storing cooking equipment and pots/pans. Sorting and organising stock, ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients. Assisting with minor cooking tasks, such as preheating food and preparing simple dishes. Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Supporting the catering team in delivering high‑quality service to internal and external stakeholders. What We're Looking For Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations. Basic knife skills and knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions. The ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. A preference for 1–2 years' experience in the hospitality industry. Why Clayton Utz?
