About the facility Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac. About the role We are seeking a Ward Clerk to join our Children's Ward; we have permanent part-time position (13hrs per week). This role will include shifts rostered Monday to Sunday AM & PM shifts. The Ward Clerk is responsible for the delivery of consumer-focused administrative support, ensuring equality of access throughout the patient’s journey on the ward and to assist the multidisciplinary team by providing efficient and effective clerical support to achieve desired outcomes. You will be responsible for providing high standard of support and assistance to patients, visitors and caregivers and directing queries accordingly. You will need excellent verbal and written communication, that include health related skills. You will have a knowledge of medical terminology and excellent attention to detail and the ability to problem solve.
