About the Role We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our growing technical team. The successful candidate will prepare and modify engineering drawings, laser cutting layouts, and fabrication documentation that support our design and production operations. This role requires close collaboration with engineers, production teams, and clients to ensure drawings are accurate, compliant, and optimised for laser cutting and fabrication. Key Responsibilities Prepare and revise detailed CAD drawings for laser cutting, folding, and fabrication projects. Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and technical data to create accurate shop drawings. Collaborate with engineers and production staff to ensure designs meet structural, dimensional, and quality standards. Design layouts for tube cutting, 2D laser cutting, and folding processes based on machine capabilities. Maintain drawing registers, templates, and quality documentation. Apply Australian Standards and best practices to ensure compliance and precision in all work. Contribute to the continuous improvement of design workflows and production efficiency. Skills & Experience Qualification in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline. Minimum 1 year of experience in drafting or engineering design, preferably in fabrication or manufacturing. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar). Understanding of fabrication processes such as laser cutting, bending, and assembly. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills. Familiarity with Australian Standards for structural and fabrication drawings will be highly regarded.
