Cocktail Bartenders for a new Creative Cocktail Bar A new cocktail bar that’s doing things a little differently is set to open in Melbourne. Buvons Bar combines the spirit of Vietnam and France, with a forward‑thinking, highly experimental approach to cocktails. We’ll tap into the rich culture of both countries while balancing familiar flavours in a modern setting. There will be a tapas‑style food offering to complement our beverage programme. We’re currently recruiting for: Bartenders: Buvons will be run by bartenders, both in the bar and on the floor, as many of the cocktails will be completed table‑side. We are predominantly starting everyone off as casual for the first few months, before expanding and transitioning to part‑time positions to guarantee hours. Forward thinking with an experimental cocktail lab working in the background. Our team will be working with vacuum distillation, fermentation, washing, and a range of advanced techniques that excite us passionate, nerdy bartenders. Then there’s our casual crafted classics, where we release popular and a little more obscure classics that we love, done the Buvons way. Alongside this, we will be rolling out structured learning modules, product knowledge sessions, bar takeovers and masterclasses. We are committed to building a team that supports one another, learns together, and creates an environment where both staff and guests feel genuinely looked after. Our beverage offering is intricate yet joyful—well suited to those with a solid cocktail background, as well as fast, dedicated bartenders who are eager to grow their skills behind the bar. What We’re Looking For — The Essentials A genuine interest in sustainability and ethicality. Strong enthusiasm for creative exploration within cocktails, supported by a team that will help guide and develop your ideas. A naturally curious, forward‑thinking mindset. A collaborative, humble approach—someone eager to learn and contribute without ego. The ability to bring positive energy to service while maintaining efficiency, consistency and professionalism. We’re all about having fun, with our colleagues and our guests A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a cocktail‑focused environment (shortlisted applicants will complete a skills assessment). What We’re Offering Authentic creative freedom. Upon our opening, each bartender will be given 2 weeks to develop a signature cocktail from concept to glass to gauge where you’re at creatively. That’s only the beginning as we’ll constantly be innovating and experimenting. A meaningful professional challenge, including hands‑on learning about seasonality, vacuum distillation, pH balance, fermentation, and more. Ongoing training and development, both paid and in‑service, to support your growth. A management team that genuinely prioritises your wellbeing, your confidence, and your professional progression.
