Adult Critical Care Transfer Service Transfer Practitioner The closing date is 07 December 2025 An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Critical Care Transfer Service, which delivers adult critical care transfers across the East of England Critical Care Network. We require a Transfer Practitioner with critical care experience to support the Transfer Doctors in the transfer of the critically ill adult. The service is a 24/7 service that facilitates the safe transfer of patients for emergency treatment, escalation of care, capacity reasons and repatriations from Emergency departments and Intensive care units across the East of England. We are seeking a part time practitioner to join our team. Main duties of the job Transferring critically unwell adults between hospitals in the East of England for reasons such as emergency treatment, escalation of care, capacity and repatriations. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe transfer of this group of patients. Person Specification Qualifications Relevant professional qualification with the NMC, HCPC Speciality post‑reg qualification in Adult Critical Care (or equivalent) Evidence of continuous professional development Teaching or mentoring qualification Degree Experience Evidence of mentorship / preceptorship roles Accept personal accountability for own practice Experience of formal / informal teaching Knowledge Understanding of evidence‑based practice Understanding of Clinical Governance Understanding and knowledge of transferring the critically ill patient Skills Good verbal and written communication skills Capable of working as an integral member of a small team Flexible and adaptable to changing situations due to both workload and colleague needs Ability to undertake teaching of staff Ability to work unsupervised and manage own workload; effective time management Effective interpersonal skills Commitment to multidisciplinary working Assertiveness / perceptive counselling skills Documentation, audit and presentation skills Additional Requirements The ability to understand and behave at all times, towards patients, visitors and colleagues according to the Trust values of Safe, Kind, Excellent.
