Technical Business Analyst – Contract | NSW | Hybrid This range is provided by BLACKROC Recruitment. Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level. Employment type: Contract. Responsibilities Develop and maintain a requirements traceability framework linking project deliverables to data outcomes. Elicit, analyse, and document business and technical requirements for data and analytics initiatives. Map and document data flows, data lineage, and business processes to provide context for requirements. Facilitate workshops, meetings, and working groups to validate requirements with business and technical stakeholders. Review data and analytics solution designs to ensure alignment with business expectations. Support implementation of data models, analytics platforms, and reporting solutions. Qualifications Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within data and analytics projects (not just system migrations). Strong background in data validation, testing, and quality assurance across analytics solutions. Demonstrated ability to analyse, document, and translate data flows, models, and business processes into technical requirements. Hands‑on experience with SQL, data mapping, and data lineage analysis. Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and experience across Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall delivery frameworks. Experience working in data analytics or data warehouse teams, delivering dashboards, reports, or analytical products. Exposure to SAS Viya 4 platform. Additional requirements Australian citizenship is required. Ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance. Locations NSW.
