Practice name: Upper Beaconsfield GP Practice Responsibilities Meeting and greeting patients Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment diary Answering telephone queries for bookings, patient results and general patient queries Processing payments (EFTPOS, HICAPS, Medicare, Work Cover/TAC) and follow‑up of unpaid accounts Maintain client database and demographic details (excellent attention to detail a must) Provide administrative support to management, medical and nursing employees Managing incoming and outgoing referrals and correspondence Adhere to patient privacy and confidentiality legislation Ensure reception and waiting room is presentable and tidy, maintaining infection prevention & control protocols Commitment to ongoing training Undertake all duties in a diligent manner with honesty and integrity Qualifications Medical admin: 1 year (Required) Working with Children Check (Required) Experience in Medical Practice Administration and Customer Service Computer literacy Ability to prioritise, organise and perform numerous tasks Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Flexibility to meet the operating hours of the Practice High level computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook); experience with Best Practice patient‑management software preferred Customer service: 1 year (Preferred) Patient Access Occupations: 1 year (Preferred) Professional presentation, well developed communication skills, strong attention to detail and a passion for patient care are the keys to success in this role The ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively within a team environment About the practice Mixed billing GP practice with 4 General Practitioners, 4Cyte Pathology and 2 allied health professionals.
