About the Role Employment type: Permanent, full time Department and location: Social Work, St Vincent's Hospital, Darlinghurst Salary: $140,287 - $143,761 + Super + Salary Packaging Level: Level 6 Key responsibilities Assist the Social Work Manager in leading the Social Work Department, ensuring timely delivery of services that meet quality and safety standards within budget. Develop, deliver and evaluate professional development, clinical skills and staff orientation programs. Provide social work services in a nominated area, adhering to the Australian Association of Social Workers standards. Manage day-to-day operations and resources for Social Work services across St Vincent's Hospital Sydney Acute and Sub-Acute Streams and Community and Inner City Health services. Facilitate clinical supervision, learning and professional development for social workers and support staff. Coordinate educational activities for students on clinical placements and promote social work field education across the network. About You Qualifications in Social Work from an accredited course with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers. Experience in leadership and management, including supervision of senior staff and health professionals, with strong educational and consultative skills. Advanced knowledge of social work theory and practice, and commitment to ongoing professional development. Experience designing, delivering and evaluating education programs, research projects and quality improvement initiatives for social workers. Experience in planning, promoting and coordinating social work field education with universities and ClinConnect. Strong oral, written and computer communication skills with demonstrated experience in presentations, project management and policy development.
