Central Sterilisation Technician – Buderim Hospital Employment Term: Permanent, Part Time or Casual Opportunity Available Location: Buderim Private Hospital, Sunshine Coast QLD Remuneration: $29.97 - $33.43 per hour (Super NFP Salary Packaging available) Applications will be reviewed as they are received and the role may close early if the right applicant is found. Responsibilities Reprocess and sterilise surgical instruments and equipment for the Operating Theatres and clinical areas within the hospital. Collect used items and conduct decontamination and disinfection processes. Assemble instrument trays correctly based on demonstrated instrumentation knowledge. Adhere to Australian Standards, ACHS Standards, and NHMRC guidelines for the prevention of transmission of infectious diseases. Work all shifts (AM/PM/Nights) and be available for the 24/7 on‑call roster. Obtain required vaccinations, pass a national criminal history check, and complete a functional assessment as required by hospital infection control requirements. Qualifications & Skills Current clinical experience in sterilisation techniques. Knowledge of Australian Standards, ACHS Standards, and NHMRC guidelines. Experience with instrument assembly and tray preparation. Desirable: Membership of Sterilising Research & Advisory Council of Australia (QLD) (SRACA). Desirable: Experience with Loan Kit.
