Project Overview Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy. Pluto Train 2 will process Scarborough gas and have an LNG capacity of ~5 million tonnes per annum. As part of the construction of Pluto Train 2, additional domestic gas infrastructure will be installed to increase capacity to ~225 Terajoules per day. Woodside Energy has selected Bechtel to deliver the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning scope of work for Pluto Train 2. Job Summary As a Graduate Project Controls Planner at Bechtel, you will assist in supporting cost estimating, analysis, and control activities and schedule development, maintenance, reporting, and monitoring activities, as directed. This is a FIFO position working 3:1 roster based in Karratha, WA. Major Responsibilities Assist in identifying the scope associated with schedule activities, as directed. Gather appropriate information that defines general work requirements for a performing organization and unit. Prepare broad activity logic and any required interfaces between activities on schedules. Prepare durations for schedule activities within a discipline or specialty, as directed. Gather and organize appropriate quantity and workforce information for an assigned discipline or specialty. Assist in routine quantity/workforce loading in support of discipline or specialty work logic. Other responsibilities as designated. Education and Experience Requirements Graduated within the last 12 months with a Bachelor of Process, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Construction Management. Prior internship experience in relevant construction fields. Required Knowledge and Skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel &/or Power BI tools. Basic understanding of technical processes, interpretation of engineering drawings, and project management practices associated with engineering and construction projects. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated teamwork skills. Additional Information This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidates must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.). The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non‑smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco – are permitted to be brought to the site. This position is available to both local and non‑local personnel. For non‑locals (FIFO/DIDO), the working roster is 3/1.
