What you will do: Welcome single homeless individuals to the hostel, conducting interviews before entry and inducting new residents while informing them of their rights and responsibilities. Provide support, advice, and information on other services when necessary, ensuring residents feel safe and respected within the hostel. Assess the housing and support needs of residents, referring them to voluntary and statutory agencies as required. Develop action plans with residents, focusing on their strengths to help meet needs and promote progression using Outcome Star. Act as a keyworker, engaging with residents throughout the resettlement process and maintaining detailed casework records. Conduct practical and life skills training sessions to promote independence and prevent tenancy breakdowns. Offer informal counselling to residents. Assist with the day-to-day operations of the hostel, ensuring an environment that feels welcoming rather than institutional. Work on a fixed rota schedule, comprising early, late, and mid shifts, covering six days one week and four days the next, including every other weekend.
