SAP ISU Functional Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Consultant to join our client AGL and play a key role in delivering innovative, high-quality solutions for the energy sector. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to design, develop, and implement scalable solutions that meet evolving business needs. You will contribute to architectural best practices, process optimization, and technical excellence while supporting major transformation initiatives. This is a six months contract role based in Melbourne CBD in a hybrid working environment. Key Responsibilities Provide functional and technical expertise across SAP IS-U modules (Billing, Metering, Finance). Conduct architecture reviews and ensure compliance with organizational standards. Design and implement robust, scalable solutions aligned with business objectives. Perform FIT-GAP analysis and lead workshops with business and IT stakeholders. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure alignment with Australian energy market practices. Support incident resolution, root cause analysis, and prevention of regressions. Maintain architectural documentation and provide impact analysis for change requests. Lead Proof of Concepts (POCs) and showcase emerging technologies. Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in SAP IS-U with deep expertise in at least two modules: Metering, Billing, Finance. Strong process and integration knowledge with hands‑on experience in utility projects and full lifecycle implementations. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Ability to translate business requirements into system capabilities and deliver end‑to‑end solutions. Solid understanding of the Australian energy market (AEMO, B2B, B2M processes). Techno‑functional expertise with experience in HANA and SQL queries. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a collaborative mindset. Nice to Have 7+ years in utility domain architecture with SAP IS-U and S/4HANA experience. Knowledge of SD, PM, FI-CA, and pricing models. Experience in automation and emerging technologies.
