Maintenance & Reliability Engineer - OperationsJoin Sedgman, a global leader in mineral processing. We’ve been kicking goals this year with a recent acquisition, a new site coming out of commissioning, and some significant projects in the pipeline. Due to our expanding business, we're seeking a Maintenance and Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic and globally connected team based in South Bank. You'll be responsible for implementing maintenance management and reliability practices at our operational and client sites. You’ll also support team and project leadership in this varied and impactful role. The role is mainly office-based, with periodic and ad hoc site visits. We value independence, trust, and initiative, allowing you to make this role your own.

Primary Duties:

Assist with Failure Investigations and Root Cause Analysis by inspecting failed equipment, gathering information on and off-site, consulting with suppliers and clients, analysing maintenance data, and preparing inspection and failure reports.

Conduct Lubrication Analysis and Advanced Condition Monitoring using advanced instruments and systems.

Perform Plant, Equipment, and Lubrication Management Audits by gathering information on and off-site and preparing reports.

Carry out Spares Management Audits by gathering information on and off-site and preparing reports.

Oversee Equipment Strip and Rebuild Inspections for Fixed Plant and Mobile Equipment during failure investigations and major rebuilds on and off-site.

Provide technical input and develop maintenance strategies for Condition Monitoring and Lubrication activities.

Prepare inspection, maintenance, and reliability reports as needed.

Seek opportunities in Reliability, Condition Monitoring, and NDT.

Who are you?

Bachelor's degree

in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Mechanically inclined with a practical approach to problem-solving.

Prior on-site experience in mining or a related heavy industry.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Willingness to travel monthly for site inspections.
