Synergie Australia is seeking an Estimator for our State Government client located in Cairns. Important parts Location : Cairns QLD Start date : ASAP - 3 month contract with possible extensions Rate : $61.64p / h plus super - Casual rate Supportive and friendly team environment. Must have Australian work rights and be a permanent resident (Working Holiday Visa holders need not apply) Responsibilities Produce high quality tender and quotation documentation for building projects and prepare accurate and timely estimates quotations and project trade packages; including material lists and construction programs. Coordinate and undertake the delivery of a high-quality condition assessment services for clients including inspections / surveys of building elements and construction materials including collecting samples of suspected asbestos containing materials for laboratory testing. Undertake inspection services including tenancy management services and maintenance referrals on behalf of Government Employee Housing. Maintain a healthy and safe work environment ensuring compliance with current human resource practices and principles including employment equity anti-discrimination and workplace health and safety. Qualifications Have previous experience providing quotes and estimates whether as an Estimator in another company or within your own trade work Experience using an estimating computer package such as Cost-X Have full working rights in Australia Have access to reliable transport and ability to get to work and enjoy working mainly within an office (with occasional visits to sites) Demonstrate a positive attitude towards safety and its importance in every role.
