The Opportunity As the ‘Executive General Manager - Head of Sydney Operations’, you will be responsible for the oversight of operations of all associated credit teams, located in Sydney. This includes oversight over the Credit Analysts, Direct to Customer Lending, and Credit Operations teams. You will help drive the business towards achieving departmental and overall business goals. You will participate in departmental planning, resourcing, and decisioning, along with Transformation initiatives to improve employee and customer experiences. Key Responsibilities Ensuring team Managers are providing timely and accurate direction to staff, in line with La Trobe Financials’ procedures Actively providing coaching and mentorship; developing leaders to help them see and achieve their full potential Participating in initiatives that help drive staff engagement, retention and an employee-oriented company culture Participate in the onboarding, probationary reviews, and development of new staff. Ensuring new staff are on an upward trajectory to meet intended targets Oversight on departmental workflow to ensure SLA’s are met. Developing and implementing strategies if SLA’s targets are not adhered to Manage and maintain controls and feedback systems to monitor the performance of officers Monitoring of underperforming staff and implementing adequate performance plans to result in targets being met Monitoring team resources and leave throughout the year to ensure customer service levels are maintained Participate in projects and initiatives that drive process and operational improvements Ensure all Credit Assessment activity aligns with industry regulations and company policies Responding to divisional complaints and responding to IDR complaints About You The successful applicant will possess experience in retail or commercial lending within a management or supervisory position. Additional skills and experience required include: A degree in a business-related field Understanding of lending obligations including responsible lending Understanding of consumer rights Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust and connect with empathy Strong written and verbal communication skills Established conflict resolutions skills and an accomplished mediator Employee Benefits We’re all about balance – delivering great work and enjoying the journey.
