This is a three-year fixed term full-time position at our Simberi Operation. Working a 21/14 FIFO Roster from any Australian capital city Reporting to the General Manager Processing you will be responsible for coordinating all resources to efficiently process ore through the treatment plant in line with budget planning and accepted processing standards. The opportunity Ensuring there is a comprehensive suite of fit‑for-purpose systems in place in the Processing Department and operating properly. Ensuring that the Processing Department delivers to plan in respect of production, recovery and cost per tonne. Maximising the recovery from the ore delivered to the ROM. Optimising the long‑term integrity of the Processing Departments fixed assets. Ensuring that the Processing Department meets its environmental and community obligations and is considered a welcome guest in host communities. Ensuring timely, accurate reporting within the Processing Department to the EGM Simberi and other internal and external parties. Contributing productively as a member of the Site Leadership Team. Ensuring that the Processing Department develops and uses effective plans that derive from and support the Company. Building and developing an effective Processing team. Ensuring that the contract partners associated with the Processing Department are well aligned with St Barbara's Vision and Values and have the culture, motivation and capability to deliver to promise. Ensuring a constructive and creative environment for business improvement within the Processing Department. Developing succession plans, coaches and develops future leaders. We would love to hear from you if you have: Degree Process/Metallurgical Engineering. Diploma in Leadership & Management is desirable. Relevant experience in a similar Manager Processing role. Previous expatriate experience on mining or construction projects in a remote location. Proven leadership includes commercial acumen, influencing, team development and continuous improvement. Strong communication skills, including communicating with people from different backgrounds and cultures. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise. Ability to react quickly to issues arising.
