Are you a talented marketing and communications professional with advocacy skills, used to managing in‑house projects on tight budgets and maximising every opportunity to grow brand reach? We are seeking someone who has business acumen and proven leadership skills. This could be the role you have been waiting for The Marketing, Advocacy and Communications Team Leader is a new full‑time role, for an initial one‑year contract, to lead our marketing, advocacy and communications operational strategy, oversee and contribute to the implementation of key initiatives and empower the team to succeed. Share the Dignity is passionate about our work helping women, girls and those who have a period, who are in need and eliminating period poverty in Australia. As a young charity (10 years old), there are still so many ways to grow and improve what we do – and we are looking for people who would relish the challenge of being a part of this phase. This hands‑on role works closely with our Founder and Giving, Communications and Events Manager, setting KPIs and goals for the team and devising and delivering marketing plans. The synergy of these relationships is an integral part of this role. This role also works closely with our Managers and Specialists on key projects, operational strategies and methodologies. Our Marketing, Advocacy and Communications team is a small but mighty five‑person group who excel at what they do and we are looking for a leader who can nurture and mentor our team members to continue to flourish and grow. You will be agile with the ability to pivot where required. You will be excited about new opportunities, and have the imagination and drive to identify potential opportunities and craft and develop these into genuine results for maximum value. Key Duties Include Lead the Marketing, Advocacy and Communications team Set project KPIs and objectives and provide leadership across the Marketing, Advocacy and Communications areas of the charity Manage all key programmes and projects to budget, on time and in line with strategic plans Oversee and contribute to the delivery of marketing, advocacy and communication strategies Develop, build and execute brand awareness and tactical campaigns ensuring that deliverables are met Identify and evaluate opportunities and trends Monitor, evaluate and report on programmes and give recommendations Develop and monitor effective tracking and reporting tools Identify, develop and implement efficiencies and improvements Ensure all IT systems and programmes are implemented and managed effectively such as CRM (Salesforce), Share the Dignity website (Funraisin), and social media platforms Contribute to strategic planning and budget setting You are someone who is happy to provide advice and direction where needed, but also someone who will jump on the tools and/or take the lead on team projects. You will have great organisational and communication skills and the ability to drill down into the detail whilst also having a big‑picture view. This role has been identified as interacting with children and young people – the successful applicant will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check prior to commencing in the role. To Be a Successful Candidate You Will Have Significant people management experience and working in a dynamic team environment Degree qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations or Journalism (or a related discipline) Strong experience working to deliver marketing and communications outcomes to KPIs and in a managerial role Demonstrated success in developing and contributing to innovative marketing, communications, digital and multimedia campaigns to grow brand value and community engagement ideally in the not-for-profit sector Strong presentation skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills Solutions focused with an adaptable and flexible approach to work Approachable, engaging, and down‑to‑earth with the ability to inspire confidence and capable of stewarding change A growth mindset that is evidenced by a range of marketing and communications experiences Location: Brisbane, Northern Suburbs – Virginia.
