We are seeking qualified personal care workers to join our team. This part time position supports consumers to remain living independently within their community. This is achieved by the delivery of quality domestic, persoanl care and social support services to individual consumers inline with their specific needs and preferences and ensure their rights, cultural, spiritual and individual needs are incorporated in all aspects of care and daily living. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with shopping, banking and bill paying or undertake on consumers behalf. Assist with meals as required, including preparation and cooking. Supervising/ assisting with personal hygiene, showering, toileting, fitting/removing of continence aids, fitting and changing catheters, dressing/undressing, grooming, oral care, and fitting hearing aids. Providing assistance to residents to enable them to get in and out of bed, assisting ambulating residents or with pushing / manoeuvring of wheelchairs or equipment. Liaise with doctors and emergency services, where considered necessary. Organise appointments and escort to appointments or outings as required. Assist and supervise with professionally determined exercises. Simple wound dressing Assist with / prompt medication General household cleaning in kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms etc. Provide social support. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent Current First Aid certificate. Current CPR certificate. Current Class C Drivers Licence. Knowledge of the Commonwealth’s Aged Care Industry Aged Care Quality Standards. Have the use of a registered and fully insured motor vehicle that is suitable for oldser individual consumer transport. Strong communication and organisational skills. Current National Police Check or NDIS Workers Screening or willingness to obtain one. prior commencement.
