Let’s make a meaningful difference, together. Your part in our Lifeline team We are currently recruiting for the position of Sorter in our Geebung Distribution Center. Responsibilities Sort and categorize the large volumes of clothing and Bric a Brac generously donated. Picking and processing orders. Work in a warehouse environment that can get dusty, and can be very cold in winter and very hot in summer. Maintain work stations and storage areas in a clean and tidy manner, in accordance with workplace health and safety regulations, including moving stock and rubbish to allocated areas. Ensure all paperwork relative to your role is recorded accurately on a daily basis. Work harmoniously with volunteers and other employees to promote a positive team environment. Be reliable and able to work within a fast-paced environment while meeting required targets; participate in training; follow directions; and work in a team under limited supervision. Responsible for the quality of their own work. May have to lift up to 20 kg if required. Maintain confidentiality and privacy in all matters relating to staff, customers, procedures and security. Undertake other duties as directed by your supervisor within the scope of the position and abide by all relevant policies, procedures, standards and legislation as they apply to the position. This role involves repetitive tasks such as lifting, carrying, standing and walking for long periods, and applicants must be able and willing to perform all tasks without restriction. Qualifications & Skills Be passionate about Lifeline and articulate its purpose. Ability to deliver a high level of customer service and exceed expectations. Demonstrate enthusiasm and eagerness to learn the fundamentals of all Store and Distribution roles, including but not limited to customer service and stock control. Ability to communicate effectively. Setting and exceeding priorities to meet daily deadlines; developing plans to meet short-term objectives. What makes a difference for you?
