Overview Join to apply for the DevOps Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer role at Freelancer.com . This role sits in the Systems Engineering team, partnering with software engineers to design and deliver mission-critical services and systems. You will work with infrastructure and services at scale across the Freelancer.com marketplace, deployed in Amazon Web Services, and powered by Nginx, MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Consul, Docker, and Kubernetes. The goal is to build highly resilient, dynamically scalable, self-healing systems through automation and monitoring with Terraform, Puppet, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, and Jenkins. Base pay range A$150,000.00/yr - A$170,000.00/yr Responsibilities As a critical member of the Systems Engineering team, you’ll collaborate with software engineers to design and deliver mission-critical services and systems, focusing on reliability and scalability for high-traffic real-time platforms. Requirements Strong understanding of operating systems, networking and systems architecture Strong experience with Linux, as well as database, web, and file servers at scale in production Strong experience with cloud, virtualization, and/or container services (AWS, GCP, Azure, VMware, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, AWS ECS) Experience with configuration management and infrastructure orchestration tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, CloudFormation or Terraform) Programming experience in Python, Go, PHP, Ruby, or Node.js Experience with incident response and a security-focused mindset University degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or related field) preferred Benefits Competitive pay and merit-based growth opportunities Engaging team culture and opportunities to work on impactful projects Location Sydney, New South Wales, Australia #J-18808-Ljbffr
