Position: Development Manager Stella Maris College Vision and Mission Stella Maris College, Manly, is a Catholic secondary school for girls in Years 7 to 12, inspired by the Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition. Position Purpose The Development Manager joins the College at an exciting time in our 90+ year history leading into centenary celebrations in 2031 and planned 95th anniversary celebrations in 2026. The role seeks to advance Stella Maris College through friends and funds, managing all fundraising activities including stewardship, annual and regular giving, key donor events, community building events, grants, sponsorship opportunities, alumni engagement, donor research, and ensuring all communication meets the high standards and values of Stella Maris College. The role supports a strategic focus aligned with the College’s Strategic Plan 2025‑2030 and builds a culture of philanthropy within the College community. Key Responsibilities Advance the College’s fundraising programs, raising philanthropic funds to support capital works, bursary and scholarship programs. Support appeal and "ask" conversations through research, planning and engagement. Develop and maintain long‑standing relationships across all sectors of the College community, with a key focus on building alumni engagement. Partner with the Community Engagement Team to deliver high‑quality supporting publications and events that advance the College’s long‑term goals. Requirements The Development Manager will be appointed at 0.4 to 0.6 FTE (negotiable). Remuneration To be discussed at interview based on qualifications and experience. Conditions of Appointment The Development Manager is appointed by the College Principal and will undergo performance reviews and a 6‑month probation period. Preferred applicants will be screened in accordance with Child Protection Legislation and must hold a current Working with Children Check. Workplace Health and Safety Compliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, assessment and control. Active participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety. Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace. Correct utilisation of appropriate personal protective equipment or clothing when required. Child Safe Standards Possess a current and valid Working with Children Check. Respond according to the College’s policies and procedures when interacting with children and young people, taking all allegations and concerns very seriously. Commit to providing a safe environment for all children and young people, promoting physical, emotional, and cultural safety.
