Maintenance Carpenter – Bathroom & Building Repairs | Geelong Local Maintenance Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Carpenter with a strong background in bathroom renovations, water-damaged repairs, and detailed carpentry . This full-time role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety — from replacing water-damaged wall linings and rotten fascias, to fitting new doors, frames, and skirtings. You’ll be joining a close-knit, hands‑on team that takes pride in delivering neat, reliable workmanship across residential and light commercial properties throughout Geelong and surrounds. Key Responsibilities Carry out general maintenance carpentry, including door and jamb replacements, fascia and eave repairs, skirting, architraves, and cabinetry adjustments Complete bathroom renovation works including water-damaged wall and floor replacements, wet area sheeting (Villaboard/Water-resistant plaster) , and preparation for tiling Repair and replace external timberwork , including decking, weatherboards, and pergola components Diagnose structural or moisture-related issues and implement durable repair solutions Work closely with other trades (plumbing, electrical, plastering, painting) to ensure smooth project delivery Maintain accurate job notes and communicate progress through digital platforms Follow all safety procedures and maintain tidy, well-presented work areas What We’re Looking For 5+ years’ experience in maintenance or renovation carpentry Strong background in domestic repair and renovation work — not new builds Confident with wet area repairs, bathroom refurbishments, and detailed finish carpentry Self-sufficient with excellent problem-solving and finishing skills Strong communicator with a professional, can-do attitude Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (company vehicle options available) What We Offer Competitive hourly rate or salary , depending on experience Consistent, year-round work across a wide range of residential jobs Supportive environment — we value quality over quantity Ongoing development and opportunities to expand your skillset All materials, tools, and uniforms provided About Us Local Maintenance Group is part of the Local Plumbing Group , a well-established name in building and property maintenance across the Geelong region.
