The Role The College is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Instrumental Tutor – Lower Brass & Ensemble to join our Music Program, commencing Term 1, 2026. This role involves one day per week of teaching lower brass students and directing a secondary concert band and a junior jazz band. There may be an opportunity to extend the position to two days per week for the right candidate, taking on beginner brass program as well as upper brass students. This position is a casual, term time arrangement. The successful candidate will be required to provide tuition one to two days per week, with availability on Monday required, and Tuesday if the role is extended to two days. To be successful, you will: Demonstrate experience and passion for developing a brass ensemble program. Demonstrate previous experience with brass maintenance and working in a school or learning environment. Inspire and engage students, fostering a love of music and performance. Work autonomously while contributing positively to the College community. Build positive relationships with students, colleagues and the wider College community. The successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification and demonstrate applicable experience.
