AUMS Longhole Trainer

We are actively seeking an Experienced Longhole Driller to join us in our African Operations. The roster on offer is 6 weeks on and 3 weeks off. Duties and Responsibilities Make sure that the relevant Safety, Mining and other statutory Codes and Regulations are followed. Accurately drill a series of Longhole to a design pattern using a mechanised drill. Read and accurately follow mine instruction plans with skill and precision ensuring holes are drilled to design line, gradient, and profile. Communicate with surveyors, geologists, and engineers to optimise drill patterns and metres. Set up and troubleshoot on Longhole Drill rigs. Access face conditions at the start of the job and scale from height according to site requirements. Demonstrate passion for safety and a proactive attitude toward ensuring that safety is front of mind for all employees at all times. Experience in training a national workforce. A minimum of five years’ experience in the Underground Mining Industry. A minimum of 5 years’ experience solely as an Underground Longhole Driller. Knowledge of Underground Mining Practices and the efficient operation of an Underground Longhole Machine. Highly organized and able to work efficiently with limited supervision. Strong experience operating DL431 and DL421 drill rigs essential.
