This is a permanent flexible full-time position. The Infrastructure team at TMR plans and delivers state-wide passenger transport infrastructure projects, including the $800M Passenger Transport Infrastructure Investment Program, to enhance connectivity, improve network efficiency, and reduce access barriers while integrating transport modes and improving services for customers. The Role The Planner's role is to lead and support the delivery of preliminary transport planning projects aimed at achieving integrated passenger transport infrastructure outcomes. This involves collaborating with various stakeholders across the transport portfolio to address the priorities and requirements of passenger transport corridors, nodes, and facilities. Key responsibilities include leading and supporting multi-modal transport planning projects to deliver accessible infrastructure. The role involves providing specialist advice through technical assessments and reviews, collaborating with stakeholders like Queensland Rail and local governments, and ensuring positive outcomes for customers. Additionally, it supports a high-performing team by contributing to business improvements and assisting with core functions such as correspondence and briefings. Qualifications & Experience To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in passenger transport or infrastructure planning, with experience managing projects that deliver network and customer benefits. Demonstrated expertise in applying transport planning knowledge to provide strategic advice on projects and plans is essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, solve complex problems, meet deadlines, and foster a positive team culture. Although not mandatory, relevant qualifications, such as a bachelor's degree in transport or land use planning, or equivalent experience, would be highly desirable.
