At Are Media, you'll be in the office four days a week, with one day to work from home. About the role This is an exciting opportunity to lead Are Media's vodcasting strategy across our premium lifestyle and entertainment brands. As Head of Vodcasting, you'll spearhead the development and execution of video podcast content that extends our brand reach into the rapidly growing audio-visual content space. This role offers the chance to pioneer innovative content formats while working with Australia's most trusted media brands, including Australian Women's Weekly, marie claire, and Home Beautiful. You'll be at the forefront of content evolution, bridging traditional publishing with cutting-edge digital storytelling to engage audiences across multiple platforms. Strategic Development : Create and implement comprehensive vodcasting strategies aligned with Are Media's brand portfolio and audience demographics Content Programming : Oversee the planning, production, and scheduling of video podcast series across multiple brands and platforms Production Management : Lead end-to-end production processes, from concept development to post-production and distribution Talent Coordination : Identify, brief, and manage hosts, guests, and production talent for various vodcast series Platform Management : Optimize content for multiple distribution channels including YouTube, Spotify Video, social media platforms, and Are Media owned channels Performance Analysis : Monitor viewership metrics, engagement rates, and audience feedback to continuously improve content strategy Budget Oversight : Manage vodcasting budgets, including equipment, talent fees, and production costs Cross-team Collaboration : Work closely with editorial, marketing, and digital teams to ensure content alignment and promotional support Industry Relations : Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, sponsors, and distribution platforms Skills and experience Minimum 5 years experience in video production, podcasting, or digital content creation Proven track record in content strategy development and implementation Strong understanding of video podcast production workflows and technical requirements Experience with video editing software and podcast distribution platforms Knowledge of YouTube, Spotify Video, and emerging vodcasting platforms Project management skills with ability to manage multiple productions simultaneously Understanding of audience analytics and content performance metrics Are Media is a proud member of Media Diversity Australia, a not-for-profit organisation working towards a media landscape that looks and sounds like Australia.
