Milestone Information Technology – Melbourne VIC Our client is seeking an experienced Windows Systems Administrator to backfill core operational workloads within the Infrastructure team. The role requires someone highly capable, able to hit the ground running, and comfortable working with limited information while still maintaining high standards of delivery. The position will also support a wider Network Refresh Program, working closely with the Network team to complete patching, auditing, and mapping tasks. Key Responsibilities Deliver day-to-day operational Windows systems administration, ensuring stability, reliability, and security across the environment Manage certificates, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other foundational Windows services Perform patching and compliance activities using SCCM Support and maintain VMWare clusters, virtual machines, and associated infrastructure Troubleshoot server, hardware, and operating system issues across on-prem environments Assist the Network team with the Network Refresh Program, including: Completing a full network patch and cabling exercise Conducting patch audits and ensuring compliance Supporting network mapping and documentation activities Work independently with minimal direction and maintain a high level of self-management Contribute to operational documentation, knowledge base updates, and process improvements Collaborate with internal technical teams to ensure smooth operations and timely issue resolution Skills and Experience Strong experience across Windows Server administration (2012/2016/2019/2022) Solid working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, certificates, Active Directory, and Group Policy Hands‑on experience with SCCM for patching and endpoint management Competent in VMWare administration, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, and VM troubleshooting Experience supporting server and network hardware in an enterprise environment Ability to work with limited information, quickly interpret requirements, and execute tasks independently Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with cross‑functional technical teams Experience participating in or supporting network uplift or refresh initiatives highly regarded Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, VMWare, or networking qualifications (preferred but not required) Apply now or Please call Sam Menon on *** for a confidential chat #J-18808-Ljbffr
