Kick Back Brewing is a community-loved coastal brewpub in the heart of Aldinga. Our taproom overlooks a working brewery, our beer garden hums with sunshine and live music, and our kitchen delivers some of SA’s most celebrated brewery comfort food. We’re looking for an Assistant Venue Manager who brings energy, professionalism, and a customer-obsessed mindset to help lead our front‑of‑house team. What you’ll be doing You’ll work closely with the Venue Manager to keep the venue running smoothly day to day, with responsibilities including: Delivering exceptional customer service and setting the tone for the FOH team Supporting staff training, coaching and leading by example Assisting with FOH rostering, recruitment, and onboarding Overseeing daily operations across bar, floor, bookings and events Managing stock ordering, stocktake and supplier coordination Maintaining venue standards, cleanliness and service consistency Driving great guest experiences across busy weekends, events and sessions Working collaboratively with kitchen and brewery teams Using booking and reservation platforms (we use Now Book It ) to manage bookings, functions and guest flow What you bring Positive energy and strong communication skills A passion for food, beer and local hospitality At least 1 year in a similar leadership role Great organisation and the ability to stay composed during busy service Availability across evenings and weekends RSA and RP certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience with bookings, events or function enquiries is highly regarded Why join Kick Back?
