Jett Building and Construction is a Rockhampton based Australian owned company. We pride ourselves in delivering outstanding and innovative commercial, residential and renovation projects to all our clients. Jett Building and Construction is now seeking to fill a Senior Management Position: Business Manager - Building and Construction to lead the business as it continues to expand, including management of major project delivery within the Central Queensland region. Key Responsibilities: Effectively managing resources to ensure achievement of project schedule Engage, direct, and lead a team of experienced Civil and Construction personnel Management of sub-contractors Accountability of HSE standards, Policies, and Processes Identify, monitor and develop high levels of compliance and quality assurance Oversee plans and specifications of the work set out in the contract Develop scopes of work, detailed cost estimates, budgets, contract bids, shop drawings and deliverable schedules relative to tender package Oversee cost management, scheduling, profit and loss, labour management, invoice approval, billing, collections, inspections, close-outs and client relations Close out projects on time and on budget, and meet or exceed client expectations Required Attributes and Experience: Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of contractual requirements and driving operational efficiencies Able to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external parties Highly motivated and client-focused Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a Construction Manager Proven leadership skills Strong knowledge and extensive experience in building & construction Excellent verbal, written communication and analytical skills Passionate about motivating and engaging others as you lead your team Understand the requirements and ensure compliance with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991 (QBCC Act).
