A well-established and growing general practice in Melbourne is seeking a Vocationally Registered General Practitioner to join a supportive, family-focused clinic with strong patient demand. From 2026, the practice will operate from newly built facilities and will form part of a broader health precinct, alongside allied health and wellness providers, creating a collaborative and well-supported working environment. The practice currently has 3 GPs on site and is open to appointing 1 full-time GP or 2 part-time GPs, with flexible session structures and an opportunity to commence as soon as suitable candidates are identified. The Opportunity 70–75% of billings, negotiable Guaranteed $180–$200 per hour for the first 3 months, or 70–75% of billings, whichever is higher Typical full-day billings of $2,000–$2,500 2-4 year contract available 482 nomination transfer considered MM1 location, VR doctors only Practice and Patient Profile Strong referrals, active business development Mixed 10–15 minute appointments, flexible based on doctor preference Diverse and loyal patient base including families, migrant communities, and young professionals High demand across women’s health, mental health, geriatric care, youth and adolescent health First clinic established in the area with a large and long-standing patient base Support & Systems Strong support structure with 1 receptionist per 2 doctors, plus onsite nurse and practice manager Clinical systems include Best Practice and MBS Pro scribe-taking system 4Cyte Pathology onsite daily until 2pm Dedicated business development support to promote the practice and assist with patient growth Onsite parking available Practice Hours and Flexibility Typical hours 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday Sessions and days open to discussion Sunday sessions available Opportunity to expand into after-hours work if desired Highly flexible, family-oriented practice supportive of school hours and return-to-work arrangements Strong focus on doctor wellbeing, sustainability, and preventing burnout Active involvement from the clinic owners in continuous improvement and long-term doctor support Essential Requirements This role requires a fully qualified VR GP with RACGP or ACRRM Fellowship, as the practice is located in an MM1 (non-DPA) area.
