Psychologist / Specialist Psychologist – South Coast Correctional Centre – Intensive Therapeutic Programs Join a values-driven team at South Coast Correctional Centre, supporting individuals in custody to build healthier, more constructive lives through evidence-based psychological care. Location: South Coast Correctional Centre Employment Type: Ongoing – Full Time, Part Time (minimum 3 days per week) Salary: Psychologist: $79,592 to $118,316 per annum Specialist Psychologist: $114,016 to $139,824 per annum Plus environmental allowance, employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading Why Join Us? Your Role As a Psychologist or Specialist Psychologist, you’ll deliver trauma-informed care within a custodial setting, supporting the rehabilitation and reintegration of men in custody through individual and group interventions. You Will Conduct psychological assessments and individual interventions Facilitate group-based rehabilitation programs Provide expert consultation to staff on mental health, trauma, and risk (including sexual and violent offender assessment) Collaborate on behaviour support and case planning Maintain accurate documentation in OIMS and psychology files Prepare reports and provide input to statutory bodies (e.g. Parole Authority, Mental Health Review Tribunal) Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and networking opportunities What You Bring Full registration (or provisional registration) with the Psychology Board of Australia Interest in trauma-informed practice, cognitive impairment, forensic risk, or behaviour change A strong ethical foundation and commitment to evidence-based practice Effective communication and teamwork skills NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel as required Specialist Psychologist applicants must meet the additional experience/capabilities as outlined in the Crown Employees Psychologists Award Benefits Pathways to full registration for intern psychologists including supervision Yearly professional development requirements provided A 35-hour work week with annual leave, sick leave, and flexible work options available Additional environmental allowances Positive, supportive, and cohesive team environment Abundant opportunities for learning The opportunity to develop skills in assessment and interventions Varied, challenging and interesting work Gym onsite and Fitness passport available Great location with onsite parking How To Apply Please provide: A Cover Letter (Max 2 pages) outlining how you meet the role requirements.
