About the role: We’re seeking an Analytics Associate who will play a pivotal role in transforming data into clear, compelling insights that guide confident business decisions. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders to analyse member and partner behaviour, uncover trends, optimise program design, and enhance both member experience and partner engagement. Your curiosity and analytical mindset will help drive key business objectives and inform strategies that deliver value and align with squad OKRs. This role sits within the Velocity vertical of Virgin and is part of Velocity’s Centre of Excellence team, giving you the opportunity to contribute to high-impact initiatives that shape the future of the program. You’ll be great for this role if you have: 2+ years of experience in analytics, insights, or a related discipline focused on delivering measurable business results. Strong analytical thinking with the ability to deep-dive into large datasets and surface meaningful trends and insights. Hands-on experience in marketing campaign targeting and post-campaign reporting, including test-and-learn approaches. Proficiency in SQL (essential) and strong skills in Excel; experience with Python or similar tools is an advantage. High level of data literacy and numeracy with the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations. Naturally curious mindset with a drive to ask questions, explore data, and challenge assumptions. Collaborative approach with strong teamwork skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to present insights clearly and persuasively. Solid understanding of statistical methodologies. You’ll be great in this role if you: Degree or post-graduate qualification in marketing, business, mathematics, analytics, or related fields. Experience working within loyalty programs or loyalty marketing environments (Desirable) Familiarity with agile ways of working, including SCRUM and Kanban. Experience building or designing self-serve reports and dashboards. Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualisation tools. Experience with Databricks. Knowledge of statistical modelling techniques. Strong problem-solving skills and commercial acumen. Understanding of the airline, financial services, or retail industries.
