Seeking an experienced creative and innovative individual with a passion for the arts and live performance. Full time ongoing position in the Programming team. Internal opportunity for ACM team members. About the Position As the Producer, Programming you will lead the development and delivery of diverse performances, events and programs at ACM including planning, budgeting and resource coordination from concept to completion. You will collaborate closely with artists organisations and partners overseeing contracts negotiations and logistical arrangements. Additionally you will support marketing efforts to maximise audience engagement and program success. The ideal candidate is highly organised, detail‑oriented and passionate about driving creative and impactful arts programming. Full time ongoing, 4.1 Salary $99,116.16 p.a. plus superannuation. To be successful in this position you will require: Relevant professional or tertiary qualification in arts, a specific art form / event management or related disciplines and / or relevant industry experience. Experience in producing and presenting complex performing arts events. Knowledge of the performing arts industry and high level of literacy across the various performing arts disciplines. Experience scoping and managing project budgets and resources. Experience in working closely with artists particularly during planning and presentation stages of projects. Demonstrated experience in working with production ticketing, marketing and communications. High level problem‑solving acumen. About the Team The Arts Centre Melbourne Programming Unit sits within the Performing Arts pillar and is responsible for delivering: A breadth and range of presentations either at Arts Centre Melbourne's own risk or presented within a partnership / co‑presentation framework with external presenting companies; Events that meet the organisation's curatorial framework and complement the provision by Resident Companies and external presenters; Events that contribute to the overall venue utilisation targets at Arts Centre Melbourne; and A program of education / creative learning, participatory / public realm access and inclusion community and public programs that meet the organisation's public purpose obligations. The business unit is comprised of program management, artform programming, education coordinating and producing team members.
