About the role At NESA we are presently focused on an exciting, transformational program of curriculum reform, and this role is a great opportunity to join a team of passionate educators. In this position, you will primarily lead the development of the Science 7-10 syllabus support material for the curriculum reform process. Importantly this includes working collaboratively with a team of Subject Matter Experts across the eight learning areas to ensure that there is consistency and coherence in the alignment of the Science 7–10 syllabus support materials. Your other day-to-day basis responsibilities will include : preparing reports, briefings, and data in relation to the evidence base that supports appropriately sequenced and quality Science development to support syllabus support material development. providing advice in regard to national and international research that informs best practice in science 7–10 learning. using technology to effectively support the syllabus support material development process. We are also interested in hearing from science candidates who have additional expertise in Food Technology, however, this is not essential for the role. At the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) we work with the NSW community to drive improvements in student achievement. We achieve this by supporting all school sectors with high-quality syllabuses, assessment (including managing the HSC and NAPLAN), teaching standards (, accrediting teachers) and school environments (including setting and monitoring school standards).
