We have an exciting opportunity for a creative and commercially driven Buyer to join a Women’s Apparel team and help shape the future direction in one of Australia's most influential fashion businesses. As the Buyer, you’ll lead the development and trading of a diverse, fast-moving range that delivers on the brand vision, customer promise, and key financial KPIs. You’ll work collaboratively across Product Development, Planning, Design and Sourcing to create stylish, high-quality, and accessible product. What you’ll be doing: This business is extremely passionate about delivering beautiful, on trend product that empowers women to look and feel their best. They are looking for a dynamic Buyer who combines strong product instinct with commercial discipline — someone who knows how to turn ideas into best-sellers. Key responsibilities: Product Development: Drive the end-to-end creation of women’s apparel ranges — from concept to delivery — ensuring design innovation, quality, and value at every stage. Commercial Strategy: Develop and execute buying strategies that align with business goals and deliver sustainable growth and profitability. Range Planning: Build balanced assortments that reflect brand handwriting and customer demand across trend, basics, and seasonal fashion. Market & Trend Insight: Analyse the market to anticipate trends, opportunities, and customer needs, ensuring the product offer stays relevant and inspiring. Supplier Management: Partner with domestic and international suppliers to negotiate best-in-market pricing, terms, and lead times. Critical Path Management: Oversee timelines and flow from sampling through to delivery, ensuring stock is available to plan. Trade Performance: Monitor sales, margin, and stock to optimize in-season performance and make data-driven decisions. Who You Are: You’re an experienced Buyer who thrives in a dynamic retail environment. You bring a mix of creativity, commercial intelligence, and collaboration — with an instinct for what sells and why. You’ll have: Proven experience as a Buyer or Product Developer within women’s fashion or apparel. Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and offshore sourcing. Demonstrated success delivering sales growth and margin improvement. Confidence in trend analysis, range building, and pricing strategy. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. A genuine love of fashion and the customer.
