Based in Launceston, our client is a major manufacturer and supplier of timber to the local, interstate and international market. This 100% Tasmanian owned business is proudly family owned and operated.

For anyone seeking a long term & stable role, this is a great opportunity to join a positive and supportive team culture on a permanent full-time basis. Primary responsibilities include greeting customers and managing enquiries and orders, processing retail sales and loading/unloading of trucks.

We're looking for a forklift operator with customer service/sales experience and a great attitude. Along with proficiency using Excel and POS systems, the successful candidate will be a reliable and positive/proactive team player who can display a high level of attention to detail.

A forklift licence with demonstrated competency manoeuvring loads of various sizes is a mandatory requirement of this role. Due to the nature of the work, the successful candidate will be physically fit and safety focused, particularly with regard to practicing contemporary manual handling techniques. Strong mathematical aptitude is also a must.

Trade sales in the timber industry and/or a carpentry background preferred but not essential as training will be provided. MR licence and previous experience using a truck Hiab crane will be well regarded.
