Role Description This is a full‑time on‑site or remote role for a Software Engineer – Backend (Python/Rust) located in Brisbane, QLD. The Software Engineer will design and develop scalable backend solutions using Python and Rust, playing a critical role in the development, optimisation, and maintenance of Raptor Data’s document processing platform. Day‑to‑day tasks will include working on back‑end systems, implementing robust software architecture, ensuring optimal performance, and collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams to integrate front‑end components with back‑end services. The ideal candidate will also participate in the documentation, debugging, and deployment of software solutions to align with business goals and customer needs. Qualifications Proven experience with LLM AI RAG application development Experience working with document processing pipelines Strong experience in Back‑End API Development and Software Development Proficient in Programming languages, specifically Python as a priority and Rust as optional Understanding of Front‑End Development and knowledge of application integration Ability to solve complex problems and prioritise tasks efficiently in a collaborative team environment Familiarity with cloud‑based services and deploying solutions at scale Fantastic attention to detail and driven to making great products Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred Experience with document processing platforms and technologies is a plus Can self‑direct to complete tasks without requiring hand holding Compensation Competitive and appropriate for experience level Raptor Data | Turn documents into AI‑ready chunks. 1,000 pages/month free. #J-18808-Ljbffr
