Composite Laminator

Operating from our facility in Arundel, QLD. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Composite Laminator to join our growing production team. This hands‑on role focuses on the hand lamination of vehicle bodies and small composite components, ensuring every part meets our high standards for accuracy, appearance, and structural integrity. Key Responsibilities Perform hand‑lamination of carbon fibre and fibreglass components using wet lay, resin infusion, or vacuum‑assist processes. Prepare and maintain moulds, cut composite fabrics, mix and apply resins, and perform lay‑ups in accordance with drawings. De‑mould, trim, and finish parts to precise dimensional, cosmetic, and structural standards. Conduct mould surface preparation and gel coating, ensuring consistent quality and release performance. Operate and maintain hand tools and power equipment (grinders, diamond saws, sanders, polishers, etc.) safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workspace, adhering to all company and safety standards. Collaborate closely with the composites, paint, and assembly teams to achieve production targets and deadlines. About You Demonstrated experience in composite hand laminating, ideally within the automotive, marine, or aerospace sectors. Minimum 3‑5 years of composite lamination experience required. Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and pride in producing high‑end visible surfaces. Competence in reading and following lay‑up schedules, technical drawings, and work instructions. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and technical drawings. Understanding of resin systems, fabric orientation, and curing processes. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or collaboratively within a small, performance‑driven team. Practical experience with mould preparation, gel coating, trimming, and finishing techniques. Confident in using hand tools and powered equipment common to composite manufacturing environments.
